I happened to Visit Tirutani Lord Muruga temple. The temple is one of the six houses meant for lord muruga. People visit this temple through out the year, more so during "Karthigai" & "Thai" Months of tamil calendar. This temple is also very famous for English new year "padi"Urchavam..where in people do pooja for each of the steps of towards mountain numbering 365, signifying 365 days of a year.
The Main reason objective for posting this blog is, the sad state of affairs around the temple, littered with garbage and plastic bag. Even the famous temple tank, stinks with polluted water. I am not blaming anyone.. not the shops ..not the temple authorities.. we need shops to feel comfortable to go to such a place, on a mountain. But the shops are so much, it feels like one is in parry's corner in Broadway.
My humble feeling request is, the temple can be cleaner, greener & peaceful. I Pray to the devotees not to throw the plastic bags or garbage around the temple or in the vicinity of the temple. I pray to authorities to bring in stringent rule to ensure cleanliness around the temple...by removing the unwanted things around the temple... by marking place for more trees, water points.. etc.. so much can be done.
I pray somebody would read this and spread the awareness to preserve the sanctity of the temple complex.. so that the bhaktas.. visit the temple with free mind, have a good darshan of lord muruga.
